Why Sharaf? 🔗

Simplicity and ease of use are Sharaf's main focus.

The Undertow adapter uses Undertow, so applications can also use Undertow libraries such as pac4j and its lower-level APIs for features such as WebSockets. Sharaf also has other server adapters.

Sharaf brings together several libraries that can also be used independently:

• querson for query parameters
• tupson for JSON
• formson for forms
• validson for validation
• Twirl for HTML
• sttp for HTTP client requests
• Typesafe Config for configuration

The name 🔗

“Šaraf” means “screw” in Bosnian. The name also evokes Scala's spiral logo.
